Tips for Keeping Images Small

Keep the dimensions small-take photos of exactly what you want so you don’t have wasted space.                                                                                                                                                                                              Use as few colors as possible-when you create an image you are given the options of what palette to save images on. Also by leaving 213 colors unused which is easier to manage and change when you need to.                                                                                  Optimization program-you can use different program to optimize images for example photoshop

Principles of design

  • Alignment: Imagine that you are in a bus with 68 people and the capacity of the bus is 50 this would make the bus really crowded and full of lots of people and same with the website  If your content is all over the place people get confused and can’t navigate through your website.
  • RepetitionWhat would happen if a keyboard’s keys were the same? It would confuse you and you would have to pay extra attention to you’re typing with also you would have to know much of the keys for you to able to type. The same concept applies to web design. What if your home button was on the top of the page on the home page and then once you clicked on another page in the website, the home button moved to a different location. You would lose a lot of functionality.

Website Blueprint questions

a website is like a house because it takes time to plan and design the house just like a website.also pages are like rooms and web site the building.

the main purpose of the blue print is to show that a website is very similar to a website since they take the same steps first steps like the basic wireframe that is a plan of what the website will look like and what its pages (rooms) will have.

The most important part of planning a website is the basic wireframe the reason for this is it shows why and how of a website and also it answers the 3 essential questions which is “what actions satisfy the objective of the page?” which is basically like the responsibility of the website and the last 2 are who needs to be persuaded to take action? and how do you most effectively persuade that person to take actions? these are the most important steps to building a website.

the relationship usability of a website map and a house blueprint is they both follow the same concept which is writing down the ideas and planning which both are important when both building a house and making a website you need to know some ideas to planning a website and a house.

If we were to compare the 3 job  roles in web design they would all be similar first information architect is like the one who start to make a plan of what the website or in this case house will look like and does the consistency which is like how it will work and if spaces are big . The content manager is like the one who takes a look at the rooms{graphics} and will make sure that they go to what they or their client wants with every detail. Graphic designer is like the who make the doors little stuff like spatial organization  who fixes the buttons, fonts, and styles just like in a real house.

Color Theory used by Graphic designers

one football team who’s color is complementary is the Pittsburgh steelers because its using the colors black and yellow another team is the raiders the colors that this team uses is black and gray.

The color combinations to create orange is red+yellow to be able to create green the colors needed are yellow+blue and finally to create purple its needed to have blue+red.

The difference between tints and shade is tints always begin with white and add a bit of color to it . Shades begin with color and just add a little bit of black.

Neutral colors are colors that contain equal parts of each of the 3 primary colors black white gray and sometimes brown.

the 3 websites that demonstrate color schemes are http://www.acmilan.com/en , http://www.steelers.com/ and  http://www.chelseafc.com/
